Where technology adds up
At Levante International School, we are proud to be certified by Apple as a Distinguished School in the use of its technology. Since 2014, we have worked diligently to make Apple technology a great opportunity for our students’ growth and learning. And since then, we have continued to expand and deepen our understanding that these learning tools are a springboard, not an obstacle.

Faculty 100% certified as Apple Teacher.

From the moment we introduced the iPad 1:1 in all Secondary and Baccalaureate courses, we were well aware of the significant technical and pedagogical challenge this presented. It wasn’t simply a matter of introducing new tools into the classroom, but rather of doing so with the full support of a solid project and a clear vision. To achieve this, year after year, we invested in ongoing teacher training and provided technical support for a rollout that had to ensure the security and ease of use of the devices throughout the school. The result has been highly satisfactory. By 2023, our students and teachers were proficient users, and our innovation programs relied heavily on Apple technology to enhance our teaching. As a result, in 2023 we were certified as an Apple Distinguished School.
When we launched #UnboxingEducation, the leadership team established our vision: to be an innovative educational community that promotes critical thinking and social responsibility through personalized education, fostering caring, respectful individuals capable of facing life’s challenges.
To bring this vision to life in the classroom every day, we created an innovation team responsible for research, measurement, and coordination. Following the adoption of the International Baccalaureate programs, we meet the institution’s rigorous standards and are required to maintain them every five years. We also work closely with families through our personal tutoring system and various committees and events.
Since our certification, we’ve begun implementing what we suggested. Both #UnboxingRadio and #UnboxingTelevision are underway. Podcasts, like video, have become essential tools for transmitting and assessing skills and knowledge.
We understand that audiovisual language allows for the development of more skills than text alone. But we want to go further and delve deeper into extended reality as another language at its core. With the acquisition of a Vision Pro and the development of interactive experiences by our students, we will explore the full potential of this medium.
According to the Apple Distinguished Schools (ADS) Global Educator Snapshot 2025/2026 study conducted by the Reflective Educational Research team, led by Damian Bebell, a researcher at Boston College (Lynch School of Education and Human Development):
Our school outperforms the average of other Apple Distinguished Schools worldwide participating in the study in:
– Development of soft skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, autonomy, and emotional intelligence.
– Sessions in which students pursue their interests.
– Creation of multimedia content to support our lessons.
– Personalized learning.
– Online learning, which was so important during the DANA storm and the COVID-19 pandemic.
– Use of extended reality and spatial computing.
– Connection to the real world and student motivation.
